The George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center will host a PACT Act Week of Action Open House to help veterans navigate expanded health care and benefits. The new law, known as the PACT Act, has expanded VA health care and benefits for millions of Veterans and their survivors.
Attendees can seek information regarding health care eligibility for Vietnam era, Gulf War era, and Post-9/11 Veterans.
The open house event will take place at the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Building 550 Deer Valley Room, located at 500 Foothill Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Scheduled times for the event include Wednesday, December 14, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm; Thursday and Friday, December 15-16, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm; and Saturday, December 17, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
During the event, individuals can ask questions, enroll in VA health care, receive help with submitting a benefits claim, and undergo toxic exposure screening. Organizers suggest that attendees bring their DD214.
