The St. George City Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 1, 2026, to consider several municipal ordinances, according to a September 21 notice. The meeting is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers located in City Hall at 61 South Main Street.
The proposed ordinances include a name change for the public street currently known as Backlot Crossing, which would be renamed Desert Fields Drive.
Additionally, the council will consider three ordinances regarding the vacation of easements and portions of subdivision plats. These include vacating a utilities and drainage easement on Lot 1 in Foothill Commons, a public utility and drainage easement on Lot 142 in Meadow Valley Farms Phase 11, and a portion of the Vista Ridge Estates Phase II subdivision plat involving the north 10 feet of Lot 69.
