Weber State University fell 52-21 to Colorado at Folsom Field in Boulder. Despite the loss, the Wildcats recorded 372 yards of offense, including 245 passing yards and 127 rushing yards.
Freshman Nate Dahle completed 20 of 48 passes for 244 yards and three touchdowns. Noah Kjar recorded seven catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns, including a 70-yard reception. Kjar has recorded at least 100 receiving yards in each of his first three games and has recorded two touchdowns in each of his first three games.
Robert Young contributed six catches for 66 yards and one touchdown, while Omar Shah led the Wildcats in rushing with 65 yards on 12 carries. The Wildcats defense recorded three sacks, with Teni Worthen, Vaenuku, and Kevin Johnson each earning one. Worthen also recorded eight tackles, a tackle for loss, and a forced fumble.
Weber State will host Northwestern State for a home opener at Stewart Stadium. The game is scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m.
