A community meeting was held Monday, July 13, to discuss the Babylon Fire. The meeting offered two ways for the public to participate, including an in-person option at the Hideout Golf Course in Monticello with local agency representatives and fire officials.
Those unable to attend in person could watch a live stream on the Manti-La Sal National Forest Facebook page.
The Babylon Fire is classified as a wildfire within the Manti-La Sal National Forest. According to recent incident data, the fire has reached a size of 106,610 acres and has achieved 50% containment.
Information regarding the incident is managed by the U.S. Forest Service.
