The South Salt Lake City Council is scheduled to hold a work meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, according to a notice published Oct. 9. The session is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers located at 220 East Morris Avenue, Suite 200.
The meeting agenda includes several discussions and resolutions. Jacob Hansen is scheduled to lead a 10-minute discussion regarding a resolution to confirm the City Council's review of the South Salt Lake City Municipal Wastewater Planning Program (MWPP) Report for the year 2025. Additionally, Jenny Diersen is scheduled to discuss an ordinance to amend Sections 10.02.020 and 10.08.040 of the South Salt Lake Municipal Code concerning idling, parking, and restricted travel for large vehicles and auxiliary power units.
Other scheduled discussion items include a development agreement for the Limantzakis Commercial Subdivision with Spencer Cawley and a 5-minute discussion with Stewart Okobia regarding a resolution to acknowledge the receipt of the City of South Salt Lake Fraud Risk Assessment. Mayor Wood is also scheduled to lead a 10-minute discussion regarding a resolution acknowledging the South Salt Lake Transportation Utility Fee Annual Review and Report.
The Mayor is scheduled to make several appointments to the Planning Commission, including Kathy Self and Amanda Rainey as regular members and Jessica Bird as an alternate member. The meeting is expected to be conducted by Council Vice Chair Thomas.
