The Brigham City Library has announced a lineup of summer educational programs, including a multi-week reading challenge and weekly storytime sessions designed for children and adults.
Summer reading challenge details
The library's summer reading challenge, titled "Unearth a Story," is open for registration from June 1 through July 18. The program is available to both children and adults, who can participate by picking up an activity log for their specific age group.
Challenge completion and prizes
To complete the challenge, participants must finish the activities listed on their logs and turn them in by August 1. Participants who submit their completed logs can choose a small prize, while grand prize drawings are scheduled for August 3.
Weekly storytime for young children
For younger audiences, the library is hosting several weekly storytime events. A session for children ages 3-6 is scheduled for June 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and another will take place on July 6 at 10:30 a.m. These sessions include stories, activities, and crafts, though a parent or caregiver must attend with the children.
Big Reads program for older kids
Additionally, the library will host "Big Reads" on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. for children ages 7-9. An upcoming session is scheduled for July 8 and will feature stories, activities, and crafts.
