The City of West Jordan anticipates receiving $481,738 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), according to a July 21 statement. The city's Community Development Department issued a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for $355,975 to support priorities in the Program Year 2026 Annual Action Plan.
Information regarding the NOFA and specifications for proposals will be posted online at https://www.zoomgrants.com/zgf/WestJordan2026CDBG on August 3, 2026. Interested respondents may submit inquiries via email to WJPlanning@westjordan.utah.gov until August 24, 2026.
Proposals must be submitted by 5:00 pm (Mountain) on August 31, 2026. Eligible applicants will be invited to present their proposals to the CDBG Committee during September.
A public hearing is tentatively scheduled for September 22, 2026. This hearing will be conducted by the West Jordan City Council to reach a final decision on the funding.
