Granite School District released an agenda for a board retreat scheduled for August 7, 2026. The meeting was set to begin at 8:00 a.m. with a service project.
According to the agenda, board members were scheduled to gather at the Granite Education Foundation distribution center for a service project before relocating to Cottonwood Country Club for the remainder of the meeting.
A working session was scheduled to follow at 9:20 a.m. The agenda included several topics for discussion, such as board handbook updates, committee updates, and policy and procedure matters including school rebuild transitions and the district community council.
The working session also included discussions regarding board vacancies, specifically the interview format and appointment timeline. Additionally, the agenda noted sessions for board member onboarding and training, as well as a board evaluation.
The scheduled program was set to include lunch and a pickleball tournament prior to adjournment.
