The Town of Dutch John is requesting bids for a project to replace the membrane roof at the Dutch John Fire Station. According to a notice on the town's website, the current single-ply membrane roofing system has experienced leakage and has reached the end of its anticipated service life.
The scope of work includes removing and replacing the existing roofing membrane, as well as removing and replacing insulation as necessary to provide a nominal slope of 1/4 inch per foot toward the roof drains. The project also involves clearing and testing existing roof drains and repairing areas damaged by water infiltration. An additive alternate for the removal and replacement of the existing aluminum cap flashing is included in the bid request.
Bids must be submitted by September 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time. Submissions can be delivered to PO Box 235, Dutch John, UT 84023, or submitted electronically through Sunrise Engineering's Planroom at www.sunrise-eng.com. A mandatory pre-bid meeting was scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at 560 South Blvd, Dutch John, UT 84023. The deadline for submitting questions was set for September 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The construction completion date is expected to be December 1, 2026.
The roofing system must be installed by a manufacturer-approved contractor and must be eligible for a minimum 30-year manufacturer's warranty. The Town of Dutch John reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted.
