Officials discussed potential fireworks restrictions for Pioneer Day, noting that a final determination would be made during the week of July 24 based on fire conditions. Additionally, staff discussed preparing an ordinance to prohibit motorized boats on Salem Pond following safety concerns regarding crowded conditions during the Fourth of July weekend.
Other significant council decisions included the acceptance of a $4,726 Municipal Recreation Grant from Utah County for bathrooms at Loafer Soccer Field. The council also approved a $148,000 reimbursement agreement for a 600-amp line in the Skyview A development. The council also approved bills for payment totaling $1,400,144.10.
