Naples City issued an invitation to bid for a new battery backup system at the Naples City Office, according to a August 25 statement.
The project involves assessing, furnishing, and installing a complete system to support the municipal building located at 1420 East 2850 South.
The selected contractor will be responsible for evaluating the existing electrical system and backup power needs to determine appropriate capacity and runtime. The scope of work includes installing all necessary electrical components, obtaining required permits and inspections, and testing the completed system.
Bidders are required to inspect the building before submitting a bid. These site visits must be completed by September 3, 2026, and must be scheduled through Szeth Simmons.
Each bid submission must include the contractor's name and Utah license number, system specifications, estimated backup runtime, total project price, and an estimated completion schedule. Contractors must also provide warranty and maintenance information.
Bids are due by 1:00 PM on September 3, 2026. They can be submitted to Naples City at 1420 East 2850 South, Naples, Utah 84078, or via email at naplesroad3@gmail.com.
Naples City will evaluate bids based on price, proposed system, contractor qualifications, completion schedule, warranty, and overall value. The City reserves the right to reject any bids or cancel the solicitation if determined to be in the City's best interest. Received bids will be presented to the City Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
