Miles Jeppson, an emerging musician in Utah, performed at Cloud 9 Studios at St. George News for a session of Paper Jams. Jeppson, who is 18 years old, has built a following with several hundred thousand monthly listeners on Spotify.
Jeppson's musical style is characterized by electric guitars, large drums, and anthemic builds that transition into emotional crescendos. Originally from the Salt Lake area, Jeppson grew up performing in musicals at the Hale Center Theatre. After moving to St. George two years ago, he graduated from Crimson Cliffs High School and is currently a full-time student in the music program at Utah Tech University.
During the studio session, Jeppson performed the songs Heal Me and Core Memory. Both tracks are included on his debut album, Green, which was released at the start of this year. The album explores themes of growth and self-discovery.
Jeppson's recent performances in Salt Lake City and Logan sold out quickly. Producer Sam Polizzi noted that Jeppson possesses a rare voice and presence that immediately engages listeners.
A one-night-only concert by Jeppson was scheduled for May 2 at Washington County Legacy Park. General admission for the event was free through Black Desert Resort.
