The West Jordan City Council scheduled a Committee of the Whole meeting for Sept. 8, 2026, according to a Sept. 3 notice. The meeting is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers located on the third floor of 8000 S Redwood Road.
The meeting agenda includes several discussion topics regarding land use and community development. These include continued discussions on a proposed rezone for Barber Estates at 5490 West and roadway improvement requirements, as well as a proposed rezone for Senna Hills at 7800 S to add the Interchange Overlay Zone.
Additional discussion items involve the Station Area Plan for Jordan Valley Station and Sugar Factory Road, along with ongoing staff-led planning efforts for the SouthWest Quadrant regarding land use ratio.
The Council noted that the meeting will include administrative items for discussion that may require prompt attention, though final action will not be taken on these topics during this session. Following the conclusion of the Committee of the Whole, the Council is scheduled to convene for its Regular Council meeting.
Upcoming Committee of the Whole meetings are scheduled for Sept. 22, Oct. 13, and Oct. 27, 2026. Residents can attend the meetings in person or virtually.
