In a report posted to the Torrey Town website, the Mayor detailed several municipal activities and upcoming projects for July 2026. The report highlighted community celebrations, town hall design discussions, and administrative updates.
The Apple Days and America 250 celebration was noted as a success, with thanks given to the Torrey team, volunteers, participants, and visitors. Regarding community safety, work is underway to create a draft Torrey WUI fire map for the Cooperative Wildfire System.
Discussions were held with EDA Architecture concerning the design of a new town hall. EDA will provide a proposal to prepare and deliver design documents, including project descriptions and costs, which can be submitted to Senator Curtis’ office next spring for a grant. If the grant is approved, the firm will provide build-ready documents.
Administrative updates included code enforcement work regarding ordinance updates and contract reviews. The town is also reviewing the process for submitting a Needs Analysis for the Post Office.
Other municipal efforts include mandatory open meeting training and an email migration plan involving SC Networks. Additionally, work is planned to organize files and send historical records to the Utah State Archives.
The town continues to manage various projects, including wireless migration and network planning, as part of its ongoing municipal operations.
