The Town of Laketown is requesting sealed bids from qualified vendors for the purchase, installation, programming, and staff training associated with a new electronic sign, according to an October 8 statement.
The project scope requires the selected vendor to provide one electronic or digital sign measuring approximately 4 feet high by 8 feet wide. This sign must be suitable for outdoor municipal use. Bidders are required to identify the make, model, display specifications, brightness, resolution, viewing distance, and expected service life, while also providing specifications, warranty information, and recommended maintenance requirements.
Vendors will be responsible for delivering and installing the sign at a designated location. The project requires the use of existing electrical conduit already installed at the site. While the vendor must provide all necessary labor and installation materials to ensure the sign is fully operational, the project does not include landscaping, decorative rock, sod, plants, irrigation, or edging improvements.
The successful bidder must provide all software and programming necessary to operate the sign and install required control software on a designated Town computer. Vendors must configure the software and computer to communicate with the sign and provide all necessary licenses, passwords, or activation codes. Bidders must also identify any recurring fees related to software, licensing, subscriptions, or communication.
Additionally, the vendor is required to provide on-site training for Town staff. This training must cover creating, editing, scheduling, uploading, and removing messages, as well as basic troubleshooting and routine system maintenance. User manuals or operating instructions must also be provided to staff.
Sealed bids must be received at the Laketown City Office or emailed to clerk@laketown.utah.gov by 2:00 PM on October 21, 2026. The bid opportunity will remain open until that time. Laketown reserves the right to reject any or all submissions and to select the vendor determined to be in the best interest of the Town.
