CONTRACT SNOW REMOVAL SERVICES

Laketown is seeking qualified contractors to provide snow removal services for town roads and streets for the upcoming winter season.

CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS

Interested contractors must meet the following requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Proof of current vehicle and/or liability insurance.

Ability to provide and maintain all necessary snow removal equipment.

Ability to monitor weather and road conditions and respond to snow events as required.

Ability to perform snow removal services safely, efficiently, and within the required timeframes.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The selected contractor will be responsible for snow removal and related winter road maintenance, including, but not limited to:

Monitor road and weather conditions 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from October 1 through May 31.

Following a snow event, clear all designated town streets by 7:30 AM, with additional plowing and clearing throughout the day as conditions require.

Clear all intersections following each snowstorm.

Push or remove accumulated snow to a minimum of two (2) feet from the edge of the asphalt following snow events.

Plow all designated streets when snow accumulation reaches three (3) inches, or two (2) inches when snow is wet and heavy.

Maintain and push back snowdrifts as necessary to ensure roads remain safe and accessible.

Provide general snow removal and winter maintenance services on designated town roads.

Perform other related snow removal duties as reasonably required by the Town.

EQUIPMENT

The contractor shall furnish, operate, maintain, and repair all equipment necessary to complete the required snow removal services. Equipment must be appropriate for the work and maintained in safe, reliable operating conditions.

Sealed bids must be received at the Laketown City Office by September 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

Laketown reserves the right to reject any or all submissions and to select the contractor determined to be in the best interest of the Town.
