The Utah Office of Child Care Advisory Committee scheduled a meeting for Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Metro Employment Center in Salt Lake City, according to a notice published September 8.
The meeting is scheduled to take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Room 100 of the Metro Employment Center, located at 720 South 200 East.
Joyce Hasting, the committee chair, will preside over the meeting. The agenda includes the approval of meeting minutes from July 8, 2026, and feedback regarding a Market Rate Study from Dr. Catherine Ruetschlin.
Other scheduled topics include Open and Public Meetings Act training by Su Chon and an update from OCC Director Heather Thomas. The director's update is expected to cover conflict of interest forms, reviews of CCDF allocation and subsidy changes, and school-year and summer rates for school-age children.
The meeting will also feature a partner highlight from Crystal Knippers of the Office of Licensing and an update from Teresa Judd regarding the Utah State Board of Education.
Additional updates are scheduled from various departments, including the Child Care Quality System, Engagement & Development, Subsidy, and School Readiness & Out-of-School Time.
The committee will also address other business and public comment before adjourning. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
