Totten Tubes has opened its sixth facility at the BZI Innovation Park in Cedar City, according to a report published September 9, 2026. The expansion represents a strategic move by the 70-year-old steel tubing supplier to establish a logistics foothold in the Mountain West.
The new branch, located in the Nautilus 1 building, provides access to a potential market of over 48 million people within a day's drive, including Los Angeles, Denver, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City. Greg Totten, Co-President and CEO of Totten Tubes, stated that the new location will help strengthen the company's physical presence and increase capacity for current and future demand while enhancing regional supply chain reliability. Paul Totten, Co-President and COO, noted that the BZI Innovation Park allows for more conveniently streamlined operations by meeting branch needs in one central location.
The BZI Innovation Park is a component of the Iron Springs Project Area, which is the first rural designation under the Utah Inland Port Authority. The park features RailSync™, an intermodal facility that has transloaded over 700 railcars since launching in 2023. This facility has reportedly taken an estimated 3,500 semi-truck loads off the highways connecting Salt Lake City and Phoenix.
While the park attracts significant investment, including a planned expansion by LS Electric - MCM Engineering, some Cedar City and Iron County residents have expressed concerns regarding rapid industrialization. Issues cited by community members include the strain on local infrastructure, rising housing costs, increased traffic, and finite water resources in the arid region.
