The Carbon County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a meeting for September 2, 2026, at 4:30 PM. The meeting will take place at 751 East 100 North, Price, Utah.
The agenda for the meeting includes the approval of minutes and the presentation of a Super Service Award to Tina Grange. Additionally, the board will introduce the new Miss Carbon County Royalty and consider a request for scholarship funds.
Several items regarding grants are on the agenda, including the ratification of the State Homeland Security Partnership Grant and consideration of an application for the Emergency Management Preparedness Grant, both involving Justin Needles. Sheriff Wood is also scheduled to present a consideration for applying for the Justice Assistance Grant.
Following the initial session, the commissioners will convene as the Carbon County Board of Equalization to consider changes to property values recommended by the Assessors department.
The meeting agenda also includes the consideration of a new board member for the Community Economic Development (CED) Advisory Board and the review of departmental reports.
