Murray High School has released information regarding schedule change procedures for students and parents. The school expressed excitement for the upcoming school year in a notice posted to the school's website.
According to the school, counselors will first prioritize students who have an empty class period. These students should report directly to the counseling center during their empty period on Monday and Tuesday.
Beginning Wednesday morning, students can request a meeting with a counselor by using a QR code posted on the counseling window and throughout the school. Schedule change requests will be accepted through Monday, August 24th.
School officials stated that students should remain in class while waiting to be called, as being absent from class will place a student at the bottom of the schedule change list. Additionally, the school requested that students only submit a request via the QR code once due to the high volume of requests.
The school noted that miscellaneous schedule changes, such as teacher changes, swapping periods, or changing lunches, are not being made. The professional school counselors listed for the school include Wendy Sanders (A-D), Cris Kerns (E-K), Erin Lobato (L-Q), and Lisa White (R-Z).
