Utah school districts are maintaining various student wellness programs this summer, including free mental health services in Iron County and specialized athletic support at Enterprise High School.
Iron County mental health services
The Iron County School District partnered with Southern Utah University to provide free mental health services during June and July for K-12 students residing in Iron County, according to a recent update from Iron Online. The district also previously offered well-being screenings for students in grades 3 through 12 to identify support needs related to anxiety, depression, or self-harmful behaviors.
Enterprise High School sports medicine
At the high school level, Enterprise High School remains nationally recognized as a Safe Sports School. The school's sports medicine program, sponsored by Intermountain Sports Medicine, is led by athletic trainer McKay Jones.
Local student support programs
Other local schools continue to provide dedicated student support staff to address psychological and social needs. Murray High School's Student Support Program aims to help students manage the demands of a changing world through instructional and developmental activities, utilizing a team that includes professional school counselors, a social worker, and a student engagement mentor. Similarly, Delta High School provides access to resources such as the National Institute of Mental Health and various suicide prevention hotlines through its counseling center.
Upcoming back to school event
Looking ahead to the next academic year, Iron Online has scheduled a Back to School Open House for August 6, 2026, featuring both morning and evening sessions for students and parents.
