The Salt Lake County Library hosted a program titled "Dig Into Caving!" on June 15, featuring cave explorer Brandon Kowallis at the Millcreek Meeting Room.
According to a Salt Lake County Library announcement, Kowallis shared adventure stories from his decades of cave exploration and introduced attendees to safe caving practices. The event was open to all ages.
Kowallis, who is also the author of "Fragile Frontiers; A Visual Journey Into the Underground World of the Intermountain West," previously participated in the 2009 Nutty Putty rescue.
The program took place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Millcreek Meeting Room, which has a capacity of 80 people.
