Provo will host its annual Public Power Fair on Oct. 1 to celebrate Public Power Week, according to a September 15 statement from the city.
The event is scheduled for Oct. 1 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and includes activities such as bucket truck rides, power pole climbing, and electric safety demonstrations. Attendees can also find music, food, and prizes for the first 500 people in attendance.
Various Provo Power employees, including engineers, a lineman, and an arborist, will be available to answer questions. The city stated that Provo Power is committed to providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable service by working with community leaders to meet long-term local needs.
