Antelope Elementary will participate in the Statewide Read-A-Thon on Friday, October 2. According to a September 29 statement, students will spend one hour during the school day relaxing with a book to celebrate reading.
To celebrate the event, students are invited to dress in comfortable clothing such as hoodies or sweats, though the school noted that pajamas are not permitted. The initiative aims to join students across the Davis School District and throughout Utah for the event.
The school encouraged families to continue the celebration at home by reading together and discussing books with their children.
