Eagle Mountain City has established a partnership with Intermountain Regional Landfill to offer residents two free landfill passes annually. To qualify for this program, residents must maintain an active city utility account.
Each courtesy pass allows for one free pickup load at the Intermountain Regional Landfill. These loads are limited to up to 6 cubic yards of material and cannot exceed 500 pounds. The pass covers general waste and most types of household hazardous waste, though loads exceeding these limits may incur additional costs.
Certain items are excluded from the courtesy pass program. Residents cannot use the passes for mattresses, refrigerators, tires with rims, more than one tire without rims, or more than one television or monitor.
Additionally, trash originating from a commercial construction site is not eligible for the program. The city advises checking the landfill website for a complete list of accepted and restricted items before visiting.
To collect passes, residents must visit Eagle Mountain City Hall at 1650 E. Stagecoach Run in person between Monday and Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A valid form of ID is required for pickup. The passes do not expire, allowing households to keep them until needed.
For renters, passes are issued per household rather than per individual. Renters should check with their landlords to see if passes have already been collected for their address; if not, the renter may visit City Hall to pick them up.
The Intermountain Regional Landfill is located at 800 S. Allen Ranch Road in Fairfield, UT. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.
When using the pass, all pickup loads must be covered during transport to avoid potential additional charges. For a pass to be valid, it must feature the City's seal and be redeemed by an Eagle Mountain City resident.
