Described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A. This Order will be in effect September 26, 2026, and shall remain in effect until December 31, 2026, unless rescinded. The Sinks Road (Forest Service Road #20055) will be closed during active fire ignitions.Going into or be upon the Red Ryder Prescribed Fire Project Area and Roads this includes all hikers, pedestrians, equestrians, bicycles, and any type of motorized vehicle, as described below and as shown on attached map. [36 CFR 261.53(e)]EXEMPTIONSPursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:Persons with Forest Service Permit specifically exempting them from this Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that a permit is not required under 36 C.F.R.§ 251.50(e)(1) or (2).Any federal, state, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting resource in the performance of an official duty.Federal or state administrative personnel in performance of an official duty.DESCRIBEDArea ClosureThe area closure starts from the intersection of Sinks Road (Forest Service Road#20055), east along Cheney Creek Road (Forest Service Road #20239) for approximately 1.12 miles. Then east approximately 0.7 miles to South Fork Cheney Creek. Then east along South Fork Cheney Creek approximately 1.22 miles to the Forest Boundary, then south along the forest boundary approximately 2.45 miles to the intersection with Tufts Creek, then northwest along Tufts Creek Trail (Forest Service Trail #7031) for approximately 3.88 miles to the intersection with Slide Out Road (Forest Service Road #20272) then northwest along Slide Out Road (Forest Service Road #20272) for approximately 0.18 miles to the intersection with Sinks Road (Forest Service Road #20055), then north along Sinks Road (Forest Service Road #20055) for approximately 1.92 miles to the intersection with Cheney Creek Road (Forest Service Road #20239) located in Township 13 North, Range 4 East, Sections 10-16, 21-25 all within the Salt Lake Base Meridian, as shown on the attached map.Closed RoadsJebo Spring 4X4 Road (Forest Service Road 20175) for approximately 2.19 miles from the intersection with Sinks Road (Forest Service Road #20055) to the end of the road located in Township 13 North, Range 4 East, Sections 10-16, 21-25 all within the Salt Lake Base Meridian, as shown on the attached map.USU Cabin Road (Forest Service Road #20271) for approximately 0.07 miles from the intersection with Slide Out Road (Forest Service Road #20272) to the end of the road located in Township 13 North, Range 4 East, Sections 10-16, 21-25 all within the Salt Lake Base Meridian, as shown on the attached map.PURPOSETo Provide for public and firefighter safety during the implementation of Red Ryder Prescribed Fire Project.
