Wellsville City Utilities is requesting that customers using culinary water for lawns follow a specific watering schedule based on house numbers, according to a September 1 report.
Even house numbers are requested to water on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Odd house numbers are requested to water on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Sunday is designated as a day for no watering.
Sewer line clean-out and videoing is scheduled to occur from September 1 through September 30. This maintenance affects all sewer lines located North of 300 South. Residents are advised to place a towel over toilets and keep lids closed to prevent water from splashing or gurgling due to pressure during the cleaning process.
The city splash pad was scheduled to be turned off for the year on Friday, September 4.

To prevent contamination of the aquifer and local water bodies, officials advise against placing debris like leaves or grass clippings in gutters, swales, or grates. Residents are also encouraged to dispose of chemicals and oils properly at locations such as the Logan City Landfill or automotive part stores.
Regarding waste management, green waste cans will no longer be emptied after October 31. After that date, all green waste must be taken to the landfill in Logan.
The city also expressed appreciation for the volunteers and citizens who contributed to the success of Founder's Day weekend, including donors who made the fireworks display possible.
