The Wellsville Planning Commission released a notice and agenda on August 24 for an upcoming meeting. The session is scheduled to take place on August 26, 2026, at 75 East Main in Wellsville.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and includes several items on the agenda, such as a roll call and the approval of minutes from the previous meeting. Public hearings are scheduled to begin at 6:05 p.m.
During the public hearings, the Commission will receive public input regarding two specific code amendments. The first involves amending title 4 Health and Sanitation, Chapter 7 Health Regulations Generally, to add a section regarding smoking prohibitions in city parks, recreational areas, cemeteries, and near mass gatherings. The second hearing will address amendments to the sign ordinance within title 10 Land Use Regulations, specifically involving Chapter 40 and Chapter 62.
