Paranormal Percussion will return to The Covey for a family-friendly Halloween spectacle on Oct. 30 and Oct. 31, according to a Sept. 30 statement from the Covey Center. The production aims to provide an experience that appeals to multiple generations through a combination of sound, lighting, and video cues.

The musical lineup for the upcoming shows includes themes from films such as Jaws, Psycho, Ghostbusters, Thriller, and The Addams Family. One medley will combine themes from The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Phantom of the Opera, and Halloween.

Nickle, who creates new arrangements and visual ideas each year, will perform a different solo each season using a looping machine to build layers of rhythm. This year's performances in Provo include a show on Friday, Oct. 30, and another on Saturday, Oct. 31, which will include a Saturday afternoon performance to accommodate family traditions.

A new element for this season is the inclusion of local high school percussionists and young musicians performing alongside the professional company. Selected students from local music programs, including those from Nate Anderson Productions and instructor Heath Edwards, will join the production for individual performances.

Nate Anderson, a local drum instructor, noted that performing at The Covey provides an opportunity to experience professional-level performance from the inside.

The production is designed to be more family-oriented for the Provo community. In an effort to encourage attendance, audience members who arrive in costume can receive a 10% discount on merchandise at the show.

The shows are scheduled to take place at The Covey on Oct. 30 and Oct. 31, 2026.
