Maeser Preparatory Academy has released its latest schedule of updates for mid-April 2026, highlighting upcoming state testing, student performances, and community engagement opportunities. The announcement includes critical dates for RISE testing in middle school grades and several campus-wide events scheduled through May.
Middle school students in 7th and 8th grades will begin RISE testing from April 20 to May 1. The assessments will take place during English, Science, and Math classes. Officials request that families avoid scheduling appointments during this window to maintain a focused environment. While parents may submit a Parental Exclusion Form at least 24 hours prior to a test date, students who miss scheduled days will be required to participate in make-up testing.
Several student activities are also on the calendar. The Maeser Dance Company will present EMOTE on April 21 at 7:30 PM in the school gym. On April 24, the middle school will host a Cornbread and Chili Hoedown from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Additionally, the high school speech and debate program is returning for the Fall 2026 semester, with an information meeting for parents scheduled for April 28 at 7:00 PM in room 224.
The National Honor Society (NHS) will hold a book drive titled A Story For A Story on April 17 in the Maeser lunchroom. The drive accepts gently used or new age-appropriate books for children from infancy through 8th grade, though religious texts, adult romance, and encyclopedias are not accepted.
For seniors, graduation yard signs are available for $10, with orders due by April 30. Prom 2026, featuring a Secret Garden theme, will take place on April 25 at the Bright Building in Provo from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Teacher Appreciation Week is scheduled for May 4–8. The school is seeking donations of $10-15 per family to fund various treats and meals for staff. Other ongoing needs include protein powder donations for weight training classes and individually wrapped candy for the counseling team. Parents are also reminded to update their contact information and opt into school text messages via short code 67587 to ensure they receive emergency notifications.
