Maeser Prep has released a series of updates regarding school operations, including new lunch options, carpool traffic changes, and upcoming auditions for musical and Shakespeare programs. The school also highlighted volunteer opportunities and community events in Lindon City.
The school is offering several lunch options this week, including Chick-fil-A on Mondays, Costa Vida on Tuesdays, Little Caesar’s Pizza on Wednesdays, and Yummy’s Korean Barbecue on Thursdays. Students who bring lunch from home can use microwaves available in the lunchroom, though no student refrigerator facilities are provided. For those using preorder forms, students will have 10 minutes to collect their lunch before extras are sold to others.
Traffic updates have been issued for carpool pickup and drop-off due to construction on 1600 N and overflow traffic on 400 W. Drivers are now required to make only right turns when leaving the school parking lot during carpool hours. Additionally, a UDOT traffic pattern adjustment means drivers heading eastbound on 1600 North can no longer turn left into the school.
Auditions for several performing arts programs are scheduled. The fall musical, Little Women, holds auditions on Friday, August 21, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. High School Shakespeare auditions are set for Thursday, August 27, from 3:45 PM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, the Middle School Shakespeare Ensemble has a meeting and rehearsal scheduled for Friday, August 21, at 12:30 PM in the cafeteria, while the High School Shakespeare ensemble scene rehearsal is scheduled for August 28 at 12:30 PM.
Volunteer opportunities are currently available, including a need for microwaves to assist students in the cafeteria and donations of individually wrapped candy for the School Counseling Team. The school also seeks volunteers for a parent-teacher conference meal on September 10. In Lindon City, several free fall workshops for families are being offered, covering topics such as family values and strengthening relationships.
Maeser Prep has also updated its board meeting schedule to the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM. Parents are encouraged to update their contact information and opt-in to school text messages for emergency notifications.
