Maeser Prep has released its August 1 updates for the 2026-27 school year, detailing important changes to school policies, uniform requirements, and upcoming orientation events for students and parents.
Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, August 17, with the requirement for all students to wear full dress uniforms. Ahead of the first day, the school will host a Meet The Teachers Night on Thursday, August 13, and a New Students Orientation Day on Friday, August 14.
The school is introducing a stricter cell phone policy for the upcoming year. Students are prohibited from using personal electronic devices during classroom hours, as they must be turned off and placed in designated holders. Students may access phones before school, during passing periods, at lunch, and after school. Exceptions may be made for documented medical needs via an IEP or 504 plan.
Regarding school uniforms, Maeser Prep is phasing in a new logo. Middle school uniforms must feature the new logo by the start of the 2027-28 school year, while high school uniforms have until the beginning of the 2029-30 school year to transition. A used uniform sale specifically for high school uniforms will take place on Monday, August 3, from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Additionally, families can request a $50 digital gift code for School Uniforms by Tommy Hilfiger by emailing uniforms@maeserprep.org. These codes are limited to one per family and expire on September 30, 2026.
Academic and athletic updates include the following:
Friday School will follow an A/B format for remediation and reteaching. Student schedules will be available in PowerSchool on Friday, August 7.
High school boys volleyball tryouts are scheduled for August 5-7, and middle school boys soccer tryouts will occur on August 20-21.
Athletic eligibility for the first term will be based on 4th term grades, requiring a 2.7 GPA with no Fs or NGs for both middle and high school students.
Maeser Prep advises parents to update their contact information and opt-in to school text messages by texting "Y" or "Yes" to 67587 to receive emergency alerts. The school front office will maintain summer hours from August 3-10, operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
