Edgemont released a weekly update on Oct. 12 detailing upcoming school activities and academic schedules. The school recently held parent conferences and is currently participating in an attendance competition against Wasatch, Rock Canyon, and Canyon Crest, with Rock Canyon currently holding the lead.
Scheduled activities for the week include choir practice on Oct. 13 and Oct. 15 at 7:30 am. A PTA meeting is set for Oct. 13 at 9:00 am in the conference room.
On Wednesday, Oct. 14, 4th grade students will participate in aquarium visits at 9:00 am, followed by a 6th grade student council meeting at 12:10 pm. Thursday, Oct. 15, will feature NHMU visits for 4th grade classes at 8:50 am and a K-3rd Parent University at Shoreline middle school from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The school day will end at 1:30 pm on Friday, Oct. 16.
Looking ahead, the end of Term 1 is scheduled for Oct. 21, which is also a Professional Development Day with no school for students. Fall Break is set for Oct. 22 through Oct. 26.
Further upcoming events include a 1st grade field trip and student council meeting on Oct. 28, group class pictures and photo retakes on Oct. 29, and a Halloween parade at 10:00 am on Oct. 30. A Trunk or Treat hosted by Timpview FCCLA is scheduled for Oct. 30 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the Edgemont parking lot. Daylight Savings time ends on Nov. 1.
Standard school hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:35 am to 3:20 pm, and Fridays from 8:35 am to 1:30 pm.
