Rocky Mountain Power expanded its wildfire-related power shutoff watch and warning to include more than 18,000 customers across Utah.
The utility stated that extreme wildfire conditions could cause power losses for residents in various locations.
The expansion of the alert included customers in and around Cedar City, Delta, Enterprise, Valley, Gunnison, Milford, Moab, Panguitch, Price, Emery, Richfield, and Vernal.
Rocky Mountain Power urged customers to check their addresses online to determine if they were under a watch or warning.
To assist those in affected communities, Rocky Mountain Power opened temporary resource centers.
