The Grantsville Patrol Division functions as the first line of response for emergency calls in the community. Officers are dispatched to a wide range of incidents, including serious crimes and requests for vehicle lockouts.
Division Leadership and Presence
Under the leadership of Division Commander Patrol Lieutenant Jeffrey Watson, the division maintains a presence throughout local neighborhoods, schools, parks, and businesses.
Specialized Officer Roles
Patrol officers within the division have opportunities to pursue specialized roles. These specialties include SWAT, CVSA, Honor Guard, School Resource Officer, PIO, DRE, and K-9.
Traffic Safety and Supervision
The division also focuses on proactive enforcement of traffic safety laws and DUI regulations. Supervision for the division is provided by Patrol Sergeant James Skinner and Patrol Sergeant Kelsie Creek.
Annual Community Engagement Events
The Patrol Division participates in several annual community events, such as Memorial Day celebrations, 4th of July festivities, the Christmas Parade, Trunk or Treat, Tip a Cop, and Shop with a Cop.
Resident Patrol Request Options
Residents can use the Extra Patrol Request Form to request additional patrols for their residences during vacations or to report suspicious behavior in their communities.
