The Farmington City Council is scheduled to hold a work session and a regular meeting on Oct. 6, 2026, according to an Oct. 1 statement. The proceedings will begin with a work session at 6:00 p.m. and continue with a regular session at 7:00 p.m.
The work session, which will take place in Conference Room 3 at City Hall, 160 South Main, will include a discussion regarding roosters in Farmington and reports from Mayor Anderson and the City Council. Following the work session, the council will move into a closed session for reasons permitted by law. The regular session will be held in the Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m., though a Zoom link will be available for those wishing to listen live or comment electronically.
During the regular session, the council will hold a public hearing regarding a second amendment to the Farmington Meadows Conservation Easement and the consideration of access easements across city property. Additionally, the council will review business items, including contracts to sell parcels 2885 and 2885B to UDOT for the widening of I-15, and an agreement for the deferral of certain public improvements at 1475 S 200 E. The council is also scheduled to approve minutes from the Sept. 15, 2026, meeting.
The evening will also feature a presentation titled 'The Blithe Spirit,' presented by Farmington City in partnership with Hopebox Theater. The meeting will commence with an invocation by Councilmember Roger Child and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Amy Shumway. The agenda also includes reports from the City Manager, Mayor Anderson, and the City Council.
