Road work is scheduled to begin at the intersection of Trail Head Road and Pony Express Parkway in Eagle Mountain City. Crews will start removing the median located just south of the intersection.
According to a notice from Eagle Mountain City, the work is part of a larger project to construct a traffic signal at the intersection to improve safety. During the work, lane closures will occur on Pony Express Parkway from 9 AM to 3 PM, and traffic control devices will be utilized. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and follow traffic control through the work area.
Additional construction is planned for the Trailhead roundabouts at a later date. Lane restrictions at the roundabouts are expected between mid-October and late October, and residents will be notified before that work begins. A full closure of the west roundabout is planned for next year and is expected to last two to three weeks.
The intersection improvements are part of broader infrastructure efforts within the city.
