SALT LAKE CITY — Police in Davis County blocked off a road after reports of a shooting in a neighborhood in West Point on Saturday.
Discovery of deceased man
Police said the call came in around 6:25 p.m. Saturday evening. Upon arrival, police said they found a man dead on a porch in the neighborhood.
Police did not release the man's identity. No one is in custody in connection with the death.
Suspect vehicle description
Megan Maybee with the Davis County Sheriff's Office said a maroon sedan with an orange cover over the rear license plate was last seen driving north on 2000 West turning east onto 300 North. This vehicle is allegedly connected to the incident.
Emergency response details
A medical transport helicopter landed close to the West Point Smith's Marketplace.
Public safety instructions
Police told members of the public to not approach the vehicle if they saw it, but instead to contact the Davis County Sheriff's Office.
