Alpine School District prepared for several significant changes and celebrations throughout the spring of 2026. Key developments included the upcoming opening of a new school in Eagle Mountain and an upgrade to the district student information system.
New Eagle Mountain school opening
A new school, located west of Cedar Valley High School in the Pinna area, was scheduled to open this summer to families in Eagle Mountain.
Student information system technology upgrade
In terms of technology, the Alpine School District technology team planned an upgrade to the student information experience with a move to Skyward Q this summer. This follows eighteen years of service from the previous system as part of ongoing district reconfiguration efforts.
Community and student achievement awards
The district also highlighted various community and student achievements. Twenty-four employees received the Alpine Education Foundation Accent on Excellence award during a gala on April 28. Additionally, two students from the Vision Special Education Services program earned recognition at the Utah State Braille Challenge.
Recent safety and earthquake drills
Other notable district activities included the Great Utah ShakeOut earthquake drill held on April 17 and a bus evacuation drill conducted at Dan Peterson School on April 17.
Employee benefits and financial planning
Regarding employee benefits, the EMI Health CareClinic became available to district employees and their dependents at no cost or near no-cost. Meanwhile, Timpanogos School District leaders released a video providing an overview of financial planning as the district continued preparations for an upcoming transition.
