The Richfield City Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, to discuss proposed amendments to the Richfield City Code. The proposed ordinance aims to amend section 16.12.050 of the Richfield City Code. According to the notice, the changes involve requirements for flag lots, including standards for minimum access-strips, driveway turnarounds, and driveway access.
Additional updates in the proposed ordinance include building height and lot coverage limitations, fire hydrant proximity, and automatic pressurized fire sprinkler requirements. The ordinance also seeks to establish standards for the development of interior flag lots while addressing emergency vehicle access and public safety.
The public hearing is set to begin at 6 p.m. in the council chambers located at 75 East Center Street, Richfield, Utah.
