Maeser Prep has released its latest updates for May 2026, outlining a busy schedule of academic milestones, extracurricular performances, and community involvement opportunities. Key dates include Teacher Appreciation Week from May 4–8 and the final exam period scheduled for May 15–20.
The school is preparing for Teacher Appreciation Week, which will feature a popcorn bar, bagel bar, taco bar lunch, and swag bags. Organizers are seeking donations of $10-$15 from families or food donations, specifically noting a need for taco meat and $10 Target gift cards. Additionally, businesses interested in donating raffle baskets valued between $25 and $35 can contact Stephanie Javid via email.
For the school's musical production, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, performances will take place on the Maeser stage from May 6–9. Shows are scheduled for 7:30 PM nightly, with matinees at 2:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are priced at $12 for general admission and $10 for students.
Lunch options for the week include Gandolfo’s Sandwich on Tuesday for $6 and Yummy’s Korean Barbecue on Thursday for $6, both of which require pre-ordering by 12 PM the day prior. Pizza will be available Wednesday at $2 per slice without a pre-order requirement.
The final exam schedule is set for May 15–20, with Friday, May 15, designated as a required exam day for periods 1 and 3. The remaining exams will follow on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for the other periods. Following the exam period, Awards Day is scheduled for May 21, with Graduation taking place on May 22.
In athletics, students participating in sports for the 2025-2026 school year must have a physical on file. Physicals completed on or after March 10, 2025, are valid until July 15, 2026. Furthermore, academic eligibility for 7th through 12th graders for the first term of the 2026-27 school year will be determined by 4th term grades, requiring a GPA of 2.7 with no Fs or NGs.
Maeser Prep is also managing several administrative updates, including a change to the Maeser Board meeting schedule, which will now occur on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM. The school continues to seek employment applicants for its Fall 2026 expansion and encourages parents to update their contact information to ensure receipt of emergency text messages via the SchoolMessenger system.
