September 29th, 2026 Traffic Improvements Completed at 7800 South and 5600 West

Roadway improvements at the intersection of 7800 South and 5600 West are nearly complete, marking a big milestone for one of the city’s busiest corridors. While final striping work is wrapping up and the County continues fine‑tuning the sensing and timing on the new traffic signals, the intersection is now fully operational.

The project brings several key upgrades designed to improve safety and traffic flow:

• New dual left‑turn lanes in all directions to better accommodate peak‑hour traffic.

• A permissive left‑turn arrow that replaces the former flashing yellow turn signal, reducing gap‑shooting and enhancing predictability for drivers.

• Improved signal coordination to support smoother movement through the intersection once final timing adjustments are complete.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to residents, businesses, and drivers for their patience throughout construction. These improvements are intended to make daily travel more efficient and safer for everyone who moves through the area.
