QTS Data Centers donated $10,000 to Cedar Valley High School for science equipment, according to a August 31 report.
On August 21, 2026, school leaders and students gathered in the gymnasium for a pep rally assembly where representatives from QTS Data Centers presented the donation. The funds will be used immediately to purchase new science equipment for students.
The new equipment is intended to expand opportunities for students to participate in hands-on science lessons, laboratory experiences, and STEM-focused learning, according to Cedar Valley High School principal Jarom Becar.
Teachers plan to use the resources to help students explore topics including physical science, chemistry, oceanography, biological systems, and the natural world. The contribution will support diverse laboratory experiments in zoology involving organisms such as squid, clams, starfish, crayfish, worms, sharks, fish, and frogs. Additionally, the school plans to expand 3D printing labs and materials for student development.
Alpine School District Board of Education president Julie King stated that the $10,000 investment expands learning opportunities at the school and helps ensure students are prepared for technology-driven careers through community partnerships.
Karen DiMaggio, vice president of community engagement at QTS, said the company believes strong communities are built through meaningful partnerships and investments in local education. DiMaggio noted that Cedar Valley High School is an important part of the Eagle Mountain community, where QTS Data Centers provides infrastructure solutions.
The donation reflects a shared commitment to strengthening connections between local schools and community partners to provide students with active and impactful learning resources.
