American Fork's boys and girls cross country squads won team championships on Friday at the Park City PM Invite at Round Valley/Quinns Junction, according to a September 11 report.
In addition to the American Fork victory, North Sanpete competed in the event.
In the boys' division, the American Fork Cavemen took first place with 32 points. The Farmington Phoenix finished second with 48 points. The Timpanogos Timberwolves placed third with 94 points, followed by West Field Longhorns in fourth with 119 points, Park City Miners in fifth with 132 points, and Pleasant Grove Vikings in sixth with 169 points. North Sanpete Hawks finished seventh with 198 points, followed by Hillcrest Huskies in eighth with 206 points and Providence Hall Patriots in ninth with 257 points.
Individual results for the boys included Daxton Coombs of West Field finishing first with a time of 15:32.6. Michael Jones of American Fork placed second at 15:49.6, followed by Trey Nielsen of American Fork at 15:58.4.
The American Fork girls team also secured a championship with 26 points. The Timpanogos Timberwolves placed second with 46 points, West Field Longhorns third with 102 points, Pleasant Grove Vikings fourth with 107 points, Farmington Phoenix fifth with 117 points, and North Sanpete Hawks sixth with 138 points.
Skye Jensen of American Fork placed first in the girls' division with a time of 18:10.7. Ellie Dorius of Farmington finished second at 18:28.1, and Anna Bliss of Timpanogos placed third at 18:40.0.
