The River Heights City Council will hold a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the River Heights City Office Building located at 520 S 500 E. The meeting agenda includes the appointment of a council member to fill a vacancy and the adoption of previous minutes and the agenda.
Budget hearings and resolutions
The upcoming session will feature public hearings to review and adopt a resolution amending the 2025-2026 General Budget, as well as a hearing to review the tentative or interim budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. Additionally, the council is scheduled to adopt a resolution adopting the interim budget for the fiscal year running from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
Tax levies and ordinance updates
Other business items on the agenda include the adoption of a resolution for a proposed property tax levy for Tax Year 2026-2027 pursuant to Utah Code 59-2-912. The council will also address re-adopting changes to the sign ordinance and approving an updated contract for the Sheriff’s Department.
Reports and public comment period
The Budget Officer or Executive Officer will present a property tax impact schedule as a separate document from other budget documents. The meeting will also include reports from the Mayor, Councilmembers, and staff, along with a period for public comment.
