The Farr West Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a regular meeting on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. According to a Oct. 5 notice, the meeting will take place at Farr West City Hall, located at 1896 North 1800 West.
The meeting agenda includes a public hearing to receive and consider comments regarding a conditional use permit request. The request involves a 2,400 square foot accessory building for Joseph Andersen, located at 1644 West 1200 North. Following the hearing, the commission will provide a recommendation to the City Council regarding the approval or denial of this request.
Commissioners are also scheduled to set a public hearing for Oct. 22, 2026, to consider a re-zone request for the A & E Brown Development property. The property, identified as parcel number 15-831-0002 and located at approximately 1741 North 1200 West, is currently in the A-1 zone and would be changed to the Senior Housing Residential Zone.
Additional agenda items for the meeting include a report from the City Council and the approval of minutes from the Sept. 10, 2026, meeting. The meeting is expected to conclude by 8:00 p.m. and will be called to order by Chairman Lyle Earl.
