Maeser Prep has released its latest school updates for April 24, 2026, outlining a busy schedule of academic testing, student celebrations, and community involvement opportunities. The announcement covers important dates for RISE and AP exams, as well as upcoming social events like the Middle School Cornbread and Chili Hoedown and Prom 2026.
Academic testing is a primary focus for students in the coming weeks. Seventh and eighth graders will begin taking RISE tests in their math classes this week. While parents may submit a Parental Exclusion Form at least 24 hours before a test date, the school encourages participation to assist with instructional improvement. Make-up testing for RISE will be available during Advisory Friday this week and next week, though students who miss these sessions may be pulled from classes during the first two's weeks of May.
Additionally, AP Exams are scheduled to take place from May 4 through May 15. The school's academic calendar also includes a review day on May 14, final exams from May 15-20, an awards day on May 21, and graduation on May 22.
Several student events are scheduled for late April. On Friday, April 24, the Middle School will hold its annual Cornbread and Chili Hoedown from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Prom 2026, themed "Secret Garden," is set for Saturday, April 25, at the Bright Building in Provo from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
A parent information meeting for the Maeser Debate program, which is returning in Fall 2026, will be held on Tuesday, April 28, at 7:00 p.m. in room 224. For questions regarding debate, parents can contact Mr. Harmon via email.
The school is seeking various forms of support from the parent community. Current volunteer needs include providing cornbread and chili for the Middle School Hoedown, refreshments for Prom, and protein powder for weight training classes. The school is also collecting donations for Teacher Appreciation Week, which runs from May 4 to May 8. Families can contribute $10-15 or donate specific items through provided sign-up links.
Other opportunities include donating large bags of individually wrapped candy for the counseling team and purchasing $10 graduation yard signs for the Class of 2026, with orders due by April 30.
