The PGA Tour is scheduled to return to southern Utah from Oct. 1-4 at Black Desert Resort. According to a September 22 report by Salt Lake Magazine, the Bank of Utah Championship is expected to draw 10,000 spectators per day to the resort.
The Bank of Utah Championship is entering its second year as the title sponsor of the event. Branden Hansen, president of Bank of Utah, stated that the partnership supports local businesses and area nonprofits while showcasing Utah's beauty. The tournament will feature top players from 28 countries and territories and will be available to viewers on CBS, NBC, Golf Channel, and ESPN+.
The championship will be played on a 7,500-yard course designed by the late Tom Weiskopf. Managing partner Patrick Manning noted that the course was designed to be playable for casual guests while remaining challenging enough for world-class players. The 19-hole, par-72 course features desert and volcanic ridges and offers amenities such as GPS carts with Weiskopf's commentary and a Caddiemaster forecaddie service.
Black Desert Resort offers several dining and wellness options, including Latitude, Basalt, and the 20th Hole. The resort also features the Plume Spa and Wellness Center, which includes a Longevity Lounge with cryotherapy, hyperbaric chambers, and salt inhalation therapy. Utah residents are eligible for a 10% discount on room rates and a $50 resort credit per stay.
The PGA Tour is a nonprofit organization based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It manages events for the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions, Korn Ferry Tour, and PGA Tour Americas, as well as the organization's Q-school and university.
