A cave exploration program titled "Dig Into Caving!" is being held Monday evening at the Millcreek Library, featuring stories and safety instruction from author Brandon Kowallis.
Caving program details
The Salt Lake County Library program takes place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Millcreek Meeting Room. Kowallis, an author and cave explorer who was involved in the 2009 Nutty Putty rescue, will share adventure stories from decades of exploration and introduce safe caving practices for all ages.

While pavilion rentals can be reserved at a fee of $50 per four-hour block, larger events or those using temporary structures like bounce houses require a Limited Activities Permit, which must be filed at least 20 days in advance.
Special event and park rules
Washington City also requires a Special Event Permit for large gatherings, with applications needing to be submitted at least 45 days before an event. The city's parks, which include sites such as Adair Spring and Nisson Park, are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., though certain rules prohibit smoking, alcohol, and weapons.
