The Skyridge girls volleyball team improved their overall record to 4-2 after posting three wins and one loss during the final two weeks of August, according to a Lehi Free Press report published August 31.
On Aug. 18, the Falcons defeated Ridgeline 3-2 in a home match with scores of 18-25, 25-13, 25-17, 23-25, and 15-12. Emma White recorded 11 kills, three aces, 15 digs, and 29 serve-receives. Paisley Fuller added 12 kills, four aces, and 13 serve-receives. Other contributors included Emmie Mahe with nine kills, Lucy Meck with five kills and three block-assists, Anzlee Holt with four kills, and Sienna Warner with four aces, 14 digs, and 23 assists. Allyceia Maae provided 11 assists, while Estelle Slaney recorded 13 digs and 13 serve-receives.
The Falcons moved to 2-0 after a 3-2 road victory against Mountain Ridge on Aug. 20. Skyridge rallied to win the match 25-17, 25-27, 22-25, 25-22, and 17-15. White recorded 15 kills, 10 digs, and 13 serve-receives. Fuller contributed 11 kills and 40 serve-receives, while Holt recorded 11 kills. Meck added seven kills and five solo blocks. Slaney had four aces, 25 digs, and 22 serve-receives, and Maae provided 26 assists.
Skyridge suffered a 3-2 loss against Green Canyon in North Logan on Aug. 25. The match scores were 27-25, 16-25, 23-25, 25-19, and 15-13. Sienna Kuresa, returning to the lineup, recorded 13 kills, 14 digs, and 47 serve-receives. Meck had 10 kills and five block-assists, while White had nine kills, 10 digs, and 22 serve-receives. Hevani Tokelau led with three aces and 12 assists, Maae had nine digs and 27 assists, and Slaney contributed 15 digs, nine assists, and 13 serve-receives.
The Falcons returned home on Aug. 27 to defeat Orem 3-1 with scores of 26-24, 22-25, 25-20, and 25-19. White tallied 12 kills, three aces, 19 digs, and 28 serve-receives. Kuresa added 11 kills and 22 serve-receives, and Meck recorded eight kills and five block-assists. Maae contributed 13 digs and 28 assists, while Slaney and Tokelau recorded 11 and 10 digs, respectively. Tokelau also had seven assists.
Skyridge is scheduled to travel to Weber on Wednesday, Sept. 2, for a 6:30 p.m. match. The team will then travel to the Las Vegas area for games on Sept. 4 and Sept. 5. Skyridge is scheduled to begin Region 3 play at Corner Canyon on Sept. 15.
